In the early 1940s, a group of safety professionals gathered together to form what is now the leading industry association focused solely on safety. This non-profit, non-political organization remains devoted to safety throughout the forest products industry. PPSA began as the Southern Pulp and Paper Safety Association, later changing the name to reflect the widening membership base. From forest products to paper mills, to converting plants, to recycle collection centers, our membership spans across all of North America. Despite changing times, trends and techniques, we have not lost sight of our founders original goals. We remain focused on promoting safety, educating our members, and bringing a higher safety standard to our industry.

PPSA membership is a company location-based membership. Once your specific location is approved for membership, everyone within that location will be able to utilize the PPSA member benefits.
Community Engagement
PPSA membership is broken down into two groups, Location Members and Vendor Members. Each group receives the same member benefits and vendors are able to purchase booth space, as well as a variety of other sponsorship options, for the annual conference.
