Is your CEO or Executive VP an unusually strong supporter of safety? Do they go out of their way to initiate safety programs or promote safety awareness in your company?  It's time to start thinking about candidates for the Executive Eagle Award.

This award is given to honor a pulp & paper industry executive who has made a significant contribution to his/her safety and health program and has been a proven supporter of the Pulp & Paper Safety Association.

To nominate an executive for this award, please review the procedure, then complete the form below and submit it to Pulp & Paper Safety Association.

All forms must be received by January 15, 2008 in order to give your nominee adequate consideration.


Nomination Procedure For Executive Eagle Award

Following is the procedure for nomination and selection of the recipient of the Pulp & Paper Safety Association Executive Eagle Award.

ELIGIBILITY:

  • To be eligible the nominee must be a Corporate CEO, COO, or Executive Senior Vice President; Mill, Plant, or Woodlands General/Operations Manager or Vice President.

CRITERIA:

  • The nominee must have made a significant contribution to the improvement of his/her company’s or site location’s safety and health programs and must be a proven supporter of the Pulp & Paper Safety Association. The nomination must be submitted by a member of the Pulp & Paper Safety Association.

PROCEDURE:

  • Nomination forms and criteria will be published in the Quarterly Report. The deadline for the 2006 nominations is January 15, 2007. This award will be presented at the 2007 Annual Conference in Portland, Oregon, June 10 to 13, 2007.
  • The Awards Committee will review the nominations and certify the eligibility of the nominee, and present the nominations to the Board of Directors.
  • The Board of Directors will select the recipient of the award at the February Board meeting.
  • The Award will be presented to the nominee at the annual Pulp & Paper Safety Association Conference.
